What is Maqui XT®?

Maqui XT® is a concentrated extract of the wild Maqui Berry (Aristotelia chilensis) from Patagonia, standardized to ≥ 25% anthocyanins and ≥ 20% delphinidins. Produced through a solvent-free process, it delivers the natural antioxidant compounds of Maqui in a clean-label, water-soluble format suitable for a wide range of functional applications.

Patagonian Origin, Solvent-Free Purity

Maqui XT® begins where all MNL Group ingredients begin — in the wild Maqui forests of southern Chile. Shaped by Patagonia's demanding climate — intense sun radiation, wide temperature swings, and the meeting of the Andes and the Humboldt Current — the Maqui plant develops an unusually rich concentration of anthocyanins and delphinidins, the compounds behind its deep violet color.

The concentrate is produced using a solvent-free method, meaning no chemical solvents are used in the extraction. The result is a clean-label ingredient with excellent water solubility, formulated to preserve the berry's natural anthocyanin profile while meeting the purity and traceability standards expected by global food, beverage, and supplement brands.

All Maqui used in Maqui XT® is wild-harvested in southern Chile in collaboration with local communities, under fair-trade and full-traceability standards — from Patagonia to finished ingredient.

Delphinidins are the anthocyanin subclass responsible for Maqui's deep violet color, and the reason this fruit is recognized as one of the most studied natural antioxidant sources of the Southern Hemisphere. These pigments are produced by the plant itself as natural protection against sun radiation and environmental stress — the same compounds behind Maqui's antioxidant capacity. Across more than 15 years of research, MNL Group and independent groups have studied how they behave at a molecular level.

Research on Maqui's anthocyanins suggests they help neutralize reactive oxygen species and contribute to the body's natural antioxidant defenses, and laboratory studies have reported delphinidins among the most active anthocyanins in scavenging free radicals — consistent with Maqui's deep pigmentation and high antioxidant capacity.
